SEO Content Specialist Role Description
While this Position relies on traditional SEO skills to achieve results in the Marketplace, the SEO Specialist will primarily be creating content and working within CMS (WordPress) daily to achieve desired Rankings.
The SEO Specialist position is a hands-on role that is also responsible for building SEO strategies, leveraging best practices to accomplish desired results and keeping RMI properties and clients on the trajectory for growth.  Through a combination of technical and marketing savvy skills, the SEO Specialist improves natural search engine rankings, while collaborating with internal teams, as well as external clients as needed.
The successful SEO Specialist is a self-starter that has a strong desire to learn and grow, as well can adjust and problem-solve as priorities or opportunities change. In this role we are seeking an individual that can perform essential duties of the job outlined below, help define processes and practices to align with the business growth vision and is willing to accept special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:
Content Creation
  • The SEO Content Specialist can leverage their SEO Research and Optimization skills to create excellent SEO Research and Landing Page Content. This role is for both in-house properties as well as for Clients- so being able to adapt to different client needs and sensibilities in writing is necessary
  • As such, they will strive to become a subject matter expert within their subject space, with the ability to create excellent and engaging original SEO content, which will delight Users and become part of ongoing traffic generation.
Keyword Research
  • Conduct keyword research using various tools based on client goals and KPIs
  • Identify landing pages for established keywords and opportunities.
Website Optimization Strategies
  • Website optimization for search engines: meta data elements, structured data, content recommendations, site architecture, page layout issues, internal and external linking
  • Provide strategic content recommendations
  • Creation of content daily, executing on SEO strategies.
Tracking and Reporting
  • Create and analyze monthly client reports and provide competitive insights
  • Pull relevant program data from popular analytics platforms such as Google Analytics, Looker/Google Data Studio, etc

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in SEO with a proven track record required
  • Excellent keyword research skills required
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong background in content strategy and copywriting preferred
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct thorough keyword research and incorporate keywords strategically into content.
  • Proven track record of producing high-quality website content and blog posts that drive organic traffic and engagement.
  • WordPress or similar CMS platform – Elementor is a big plus.
  • HTML, CSS, a basic knowledge of how technologies such as JavaScript can affect SEO.
  • A good understanding of UX.
  • A strong running knowledge of: SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Screaming Frog, or similar tools.
  • Offsite SEO is a BIG plus: Develop offsite strategy and manage execution of outreach and promotional strategies for link acquisition.
  • Organized, can communicate with internal stakeholders, teams and clients.
  • Curiosity, attention to detail, can think out of the box, juggle projects, and hitting deadlines is a must for this role.
